Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded several prizes and grants. She has provided consulting on research and policy to many agencies and departments across the world. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
