Adults can be defined as animals or human beings that have reached their full growth and development. When used with human beings, the term "adult" could mean anything that is associated with legal or social concepts. As opposed to someone that isn't considered an adult, or "minor" legally adult is a person who has reached the age of majority making them self-sufficient, capable, and responsible. Legal adults can also be described as a major. The age of 18 is as the age of legal maturity, but this definition can differ by country, legal rights or the development of a person's psychological.

Adulthood is the time in the human lifespan when the person is at maturity in terms of both physical and mental development. Adulthood is commonly thought of as beginning at age 20 or 21 years. It is generally believed that middle age begins around 40 years old. It is then it will be approximately 60 years. There are three primary levels of adulthood: early adulthood (18 to mid-30s) and middle adulthood (mid-30s through mid-60s) and then the final stage of adulthood (mid-60s up to the point of the time of death). At the beginning phases of adulthood (between 20 and 40) then our bodies have reached full maturation, even though our weight and height could increase slightly. As we enter our early twenties, the physical capabilities of our bodies reach their maximum. They include strength of muscles and speed of reaction.
